Last updated: August 9, 2026

Bugflare ("we") operates bugflare.site and the Bugflare mobile apps. This policy explains what we collect when you use the product.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email, display name, password hash (never plaintext password).
  • Approximate location: country derived from IP for security monitoring and analytics.
  • Usage events: pages viewed, sessions, bookmarks, likes, comments, and shares.
  • Device/browser metadata: user agent and similar signals for abuse prevention.

How we use data

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Provide product features (saved items, engagement, personalization).
  • Improve ranking of aggregated research content over time.
  • Detect abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.

Third-party research content

Bugflare aggregates publicly available security research feeds. Original publishers retain ownership. We show attribution and outbound links; we do not sell your personal data to those publishers.

Retention & deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. Contact support from your profile email if you want your account deleted; we will remove personal account records subject to legal retention needs (e.g. security logs).
